I started illustrating in 2003.
These works are made using indian ink & fine technical pens.
The works started off as ink stains, whereby I'd splash some ink on paper & then try to turn it into something.
Later I became interested in illustration & propaganda from the 19th century up until just after World War I.
Mainly before the widespread use of photography in the press.
A lot of the work focused on World War I (1914-1918) which seems to be the the place in time where two worlds collided & life was completely changed.
Nowadays (spring 2008) I no longer draw so much, perhaps as it's taken a lot of time & effort in building this site.
